Suffolk Fire and Rescue

 

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service delivers effective prevention, protection and emergency response services to the people of Suffolk. They required a more sophisticated document capture solution that would integrate with SharePoint, in order to process incoming mail. Up to 200 documents a day are now scanned using PSI:Capture, which also processes emails and other electronic files. Utility Partnership Limited (UPL), one of the energy industry’s most innovative companies, receives thousands of utility invoices from its clients every month for analysis. ISOS Housing

Isos Housing, a charitable housing provider headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, is responsible for the day-to-day management of 17,000 homes across the North East, from Berwick in the north, down to Stockton in the south, and across to Cumbria in the west. The company adopted PSI:Capture to enable them to automate the scanning and storage of invoices and other accounting documents in their Microsoft SharePoint system. PSI:Capture reads unique barcode references created from their accounting system, Open Accounts, to index and organise documents in SharePoint for quick and easy access by staff in their four offices across Northumberland. Breedon Aggregates

Breedon Aggregates, one of the largest independent aggregates businesses in the UK, operate 27 quarries and 18 asphalt plants in England and Scotland and employ more than 800 people. Breedon needed to improve their delivery receipt (POD) and electronic sales invoicing processes. Wakefield MDC

Wakefield Metropolitan District Council decided to embark on a project to digitise all incoming mail so it could be easily distributed to its many thousands of staff. Towards the end of 2011 the Council deployed PSIGEN PSI:Capturefor scanning and Microsoft SharePoint 2010 for managing and providing access to a variety of documents types across the organisation. For the first phase of the project PSI:Capture is operating with Kodak i4600 scanners in the post room located at the Council’s headquarters in Wakefield. PMI Health Group, the UK’s largest independent healthcare insurance broker, providing healthcare insurance services for companies and individuals, required a scanning and data capture solution to help streamline the company’s paper based processes. These include processing of invoices and other financial documents from corporate clients as well as healthcare providers. Kepak Group

Kepak Group is a young, professional and dynamic business that has grown into one of Europe’s leading food processing companies employing over 2000 people in nine manufacturing facilities across Ireland and the UK. Kepak installed PSI:Capture to manage the scanning and indexing of a growing volume of personnel files that needed to be stored and managed. University Hospital South Manchester

University Hospital South Manchester (UHSM), a major teaching hospital NHS trust, deployed PSI:Capture Enterprise with Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) and Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) to process up to 8000 hand printed patient satisfaction surveys every month. The process of recording and analysing the data needed to be fully automated to ensure the Trust was able to regularly report on its performance against quality goals set by the NHS. “Before we purchased the PSI:Capture solution there was just no quick way to process the surveys”, said Tyler Warburton, Nursing Project Manager. “Now that we have a way to easily process our surveys, we will expand the solution to other departments.” UHSM plans to expand PSIGEN’s solution into other areas of their organisation for not only surveys, but other document capture needs. Read full case study

 

Real Time Claims

Fire Brigades Union

The Fire Brigades Union, headquartered in Kingston-upon-Thames, needed a way to store large volumes of paper documents in their newly deployed Microsoft SharePoint 2010 document management system. They evaluated several scanning and OCR products available on the market before choosing PSI:Capture, because of its ease of use, quick implementation and unparalleled interface to SharePoint. Chiorino

Chiorino UK, part of a worldwide manufacturing company specialising in conveyor and process belts, needed to improve both speed of handling and access to documents, especially in the accounting department.  The company is using PSI:Capture to scan and capture data from a range of documents including supplier invoices, purchase orders, confirmation receipts, production sheets along with HR documents and wages reports. Sales invoice data is transferred from a Baan accounting system and other documents are indexed and stored in DocuWare for access by both internal users and external users via a web client.
